Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is an ancient healing technique, rediscovered and developed in the early 20th century by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist, mystic and teacher. It is a very popular complementary therapy that can accelerate our own natural ability to heal and bring deep relaxation, calmness and inner peace to mind and body.

Reiki is received directly through the hands of a Reiki practitioner. You remain clothed and lay on a treatment couch or relax in a comfortable chair listening to gentle background music. You can also have it sent to you distantly - no matter where you are.
Reiki is gentle yet powerful and boosts your immune system. It works alone or in conjunction with other therapies such as hypnotherapy, homeopathy and reflexology and complements conventional medicine by accelerating recovery following illness or surgery.
Reiki's gentle energy may be used safely by people of all ages, including the newborn, pregnant mothers, the frail and the elderly and can benefit those who are:
To our knowledge, Reiki cannot be self-learned. It is necessary to have Reiki activated by a Reiki Master/Teacher who will attune the individual to the universal energy.
Reiki is a very simple technique to learn and does not require prior experience of healing, meditation or any other kind of training. It has been successfully learned by over one million people from all walks of life, both young and old, all around the world. The ability to give Reiki is simply transferred from Reiki Master/Teacher to student through a process called an Attunement. As soon as you receive the Attunement, you have the ability to give Reiki to yourself, friends and family.
There are three levels of Reiki training for the practitioner:
The training day includes the following:
You will receive a Student Manual, Certificate of Attunement and a copy of your lineage tracing directly back to Mikao Usui.
This requires a full day of training for which the charge is R800.00
Level II adds greater power to your ability to channel Reiki and introduces the use of Reiki symbols. This is usually undertaken at least three months after Level I to allow enough time to assimilate the energy.
Level II Training day includes the following:
You will receive a Student Manual, Certificate of Attunement and a copy of your lineage tracing directly back to Mikao Usui.
This requires a full day of training for which the charge is R900.00
The final level of Attunement is Reiki Master. This should only be undertaken at least six months after receiving Level II. It is a very personal journey and the training is usually carried out on a one-to-one basis.
